It is almost upon us, the first Saturday of May, which means FREE COMIC BOOK DAY! Perhaps the best day of the year, and certain considered such by famed comic actor, Jason Mewes. Previously Jason’s acting buddy and director friend, Kevin Smith, narrated a Free Comic Book Day ad to promote the event, and now Mewes is getting involved in a video that definitely seems in the style we all likely know to be his. He joins a long list of celebrities endorsing the event who include Stan Lee, Hugh Jackman, and Brian Michael Bendis. This year’s FCBD features over 60 great comics for fans of all ages, and many shops will be doing events that include play testing new games, creator signings, additional giveaways, major comic sales, and more. Staff from Speak Geeky To Me will be on hand at both Thou Shalt Game in Temecula, CA and Sky High Comics in San Marcos, CA, so make sure you swing by and say hello.
