hr_The_Hobbit _The_Battle_of_the_Five_Armies_3Almost 2 years after their first amazing and Toklien-themed in-flight safety video, Air New Zealand is back with an even more epic scaled video to guarantee the safety of its passengers! Since roughly 2 years ago the company has push heavily to promote travel to New Zealand through Peter Jackson’s visually stunning Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit trilogies. They’ve made planes with imagery from the films, done special videos, promoted at comic conventions, and even dressed up their flight attendants. But this new in-flight safety video almost works as an advertisement in and of itself for flying with Air New Zealand to the country down under. Check it out:

 

 

And as if that wasn’t enough, they even provided a behind the scenes look with all the stars, from Peter Jackson to Ellijah Wood and more! Here we can see they used actual props and locations from the film, with the latter probably not being as difficult as the former. Still it comes together to make an amazing bit of footage for both advertising and safety, in an above and beyond form most airlines just wouldn’t put forth.
