Powers Pilot Episode Now Free To Watch
Sony’s new original series, Powers, is based off the long running comic series from Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Avon Oeming. The comic is quite the enjoyable read, and the TV series manages to be quite the amazing watch too. As of now, Sony has placed the first episode of Powers on Youtube for free, so that anyone with any interest might give it a trial run. Once you’re hooked, however, you’ll have to either own a Playstation, PSP, PS Vita, Xperia device, or go online to the Playstation Store to download future episodes. We suppose that is one benefit to creating your own original series while owning a large part of the digital media device market, Sony. Thankfully there are quite a few options if you’re a Sony product owner, and there’s always the internet if you’re not. The entire first season is free to Playstation Plus users, or $18 if you wish to watch it in Soft Definition while it is $25 if you prefer HD. Episodes 2 and 3 are already available today at $2 an episode for SD and $3 for HD. We recommend investing in the Playstation Plus route in the long run, because at $10 a month (or less if you buy larger packages) you’ll certainly save money on even just watching the first season of Powers. So, without further adieu, prepare to enjoy the live action introduction of Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim from the Powers Division:
Powers, an edgy dramatic series, follows the lives of two homicide detectives, Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who are assigned to investigate cases involving people with superhuman abilities, referred to as “Powers.” Set amidst today’s paparazzi culture, Powers asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals?
Enter the men and women of the Powers Division, the brave people in charge of protecting humans like us and keeping the peace over commercialized, god-like men and women who glide through the sky imposing their power over the mortals who both worship and fear them.
