Growing up in California's San Fernando Valley, Adelaide was quite the fan of literature, both graphic and prose. Some of her favorite stories include Lord of the Rings, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, The Han Solo Trilogy, The Sandman, assorted tales by Agatha Christie, HP Lovecraft, and Oscar Wilde, Lady Mechanika, A Brave New World, The Killing Joke, and The Eternals. As an adult, now living in Los Angeles, she spends most of her time reading long novels, writing screenplays and short stories, baking pies, punching sharks, and warding off evil.

The past 12 months have been absolutely excellent as both an avid reader and a J.K. Rowling enthusiast. First, this time last year, Rowling released her first non-Potter novel, The Casual Vacancy. About six months later, The Cuckoo’s Calling was initially released under the pseudonym ‘Robert Galbraith’—who we learned to actually be Ms. Rowling herself. When I first read the words “Warlord of the Air”, my first thought was of a Hun-like figure atop a flying pirate ship, brandishing his glittering sword of doom. Luckily, this reprint of fantasy-legend Michael Moorcock’s book was even better than that, if you can imagine.
