Joss Whedon Apologises In Advance To The People Of Seoul
Living in places like Chicago, London, Los Angeles, or New York City you might be used to filming being done in your major metropolitan area, causing temporary road closure, traffic, and the inability to use certain public or private areas. It’s a cost citizens of those areas just have to pay to see their city get blown apart or ripped through by epic action and adventure films (it is admittedly rare that romantic comedies lock down a street for multiple days…but then again it has happened). As Marvel Studios big new film, Avengers 2: Age of Ultron, begins filming in Seoul, Korea this week, Joss Whedon has very kindly taken to youtube to apologise to the city’s people in advance. Filming is set to take place at a few major locations and Whedon is nice enough to acknowledge this might mess up someones commute or alter their day a bit. It’s a good thing Marvel’s characters are so kind hearted in Korea.
Now let’s just hope they don’t destroy Seoul to make it look like this horrible future from the Age of Ultron comics:
