Batman Vs Robin - DC’s 23rd Original Animated Film
Based on several Batman storylines of the New 52 era of comics, the Batman Vs Robin animated film from DC and Warner Bros Animation looks to play perfectly as a sequel to the Son of Batman direct-to-video animated film. Batman Vs Robin is to adapt the Court of Owls and Night of Owls storylines from Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo’s run on Batman that started in 2011. However, it also looks to include aspects of the opening Batman and Robin storyline of the New 52 by Peter J. Tomasi and Patrick Gleason, which focused on Damian defying his father and going out on his own to fight the new mystery from Bruce’s past, NoBody. Take a look at the trailer below:
Batman Vs Robin will be DC’s 23rd original animated film and will feature the return of Jason O’Mara, Stuart Allan, David McCallum, and Sean Maher to reprise their roles in voice acting from the Son of Batman animated film. It will also notably contain the voices of Weird Al Yankovich, cast as the Dollmaker, and the return of Kevin Conroy (who previously voiced Batman in many of his animated appearances since the early nineties) to voice Thomas Wayne, Bruce Wayne’s father. Set to release direct to video this spring, on April 14th, the movie will have its world premiere at WonderCon in Anaheim in early April.
