IZombie_promotional_posterSome time ago we announced that Vertigo’s 28-issue series, iZombie, which spun out of House of Mystery would be made into a TV series for CW. Since then we’ve seen photos, teasers, and more that have excited fans of the comic and led to increased sales in collected editions of the new completed series. But today we finally get a trailer that gives us a proper glimpse of what to expect from the iZombie TV series when it hits CW on Tuesday, March 17th.

 

 

Now we’re already seeing that this TV series looks like it will be very different from the comics, with the characters already seeing different names and the concept seeming to only hold similar origins rather than plot. But that’s not to say the TV show wont do well. Rose McIver looks great as Gwen Dylan-err…Liv Moore as she’s now called, and the series has a fair amount of potential with the new plot as it has been revealed so far. It definitely seems to hold up with a similar vein to what DC has been putting out in the television world via Gotham, Constantine, and The Flash. Once again we see heroes, with a unique background, working on solving crimes in the unique way only they can. DC certainly has that style down, in the post-Law and Order/CSI era of crime solving television. So lets see how while CW brings iZombie to life in two months.
