BatTarpDirector Zack Snyder has apparently been in a very favorable mood this past week, with teasing tweets for his upcoming film, Superman/Batman. This epic sequel to Man of Steel has had much buzz around it since its first announcement at San Diego Comic Con last year, and has driven the internet crazy after casting announcements that included Ben Affleck as Batman and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman. There has been mixed feelings about casting, with twitter just about exploding in various yays and nays after Affleck was announced as Batman. But one thing is certain, the movie is being talked about with very little to show. Well, very little to show that is until this week. Yesterday Synder took to twitter to tease a certain bat-themed automobile beneath a tarp. His post was simple, stating that it could be time to pull the tarp “…tomorrow?” The first hints of a proper Batmobile was quite exciting, a huge step back in the right direction after that tank meets Humvee that was the Tumbler of Nolan’s Batman trilogy.

But who would’ve thought we’d not only see the Batmobile today, but Batman as well! Yes, at 9:11 AM today, Zack Snyder tweeted our first glimpse of Ben Affleck as Batman. The costume looks wonderfully like a mix of Frank Miller meets Jim Lee, in a very stout and muscular form, with short ears and all the right dark grit we want from a Batman that will soon take on Superman. He stands before a close up of the Batmobile, looking gloriously more like a classic Batmobile of 90′s cinema and with a Barbra Ling flair in the design. I for one suddenly got quite excited for May 6, 2016.
