Yes, San Diego Comic Con has once more given us an online gladiatorial match that pits geeks against one another in competition for the greatest of prizes, the chance to go to Comic Con International this July! We’ve already seen people walk away victoriously or hang their head in sadness after the quick brawl to get passes to this year’s event online through Epic Registration. But this one is the big one, because while you might not have a pass to San Diego Comic Con, there are plenty of great things to do in the area during that week. So the key is getting the right hotel room for the right price, and Tuesday is when you’ll do that to gain access to the select San Diego hotel rooms that are part of SDCC’s discounted block rate.

So how do you get one of these coveted hotel rooms for San Diego Comic Con? Well, at 9AM PST on March 24th you’ll have to either sign in at http://cci-2015-request.elasticbeanstalk.com or call 1-877-55-COMIC (1-877-552-6642) or 212-532-1660 to contact the Travel Planners service. From there you need a list of exactly 6 hotels you’d potentially like to stay in. Then the gamble begins as the system starts selecting people and assigning them hotel rooms. If you’re one of the luck few you’ll recieve an email on Wednesday, the 25th. Then you simply must provide a credit card and 2 nights pay as deposit to reserve your spot!
