Amazing_Spider-Man_Vol_3_13_TextlessThe popular Spider-Man event, Spider-Verse, is very reliant on what would traditionally be peripheral crossover books in most major Marvel events. Rather than using the Spider-Verse tie-ins as a cheap ploy to sell additional books or up the sales numbers on lower selling series, the Spider-Verse tie-ins have all played an integral part in telling the story of Spider-Men from every universe coming together to fight the deadly Inheritors. Almost every issue of the main Spider-Man title, Amazing Spider-Man, has been filled with captions serving as cliff notes that point the reader off in different directions where subplots continue and detail important parts of the series. This week’s Amazing Spider-Man is no different, but with 3 tie-in titles coming out this week, the reading order might be questioned by some. Sadly it should be questioned by all with Marvel releasing a proper reading order. Why? Because a very very important event happens in one of this week’s tie-ins but will get spoiled in the main Amazing Spider-Man title if you don’t read it first.

We won’t spoil the major event, but we will warn you of a good reading order to best enjoy your Spider-Verse comics this week. To do so, we recommend reading in the following order:

1. Scarlet Spiders #3

2. Amazing Spider-Man #13

3. Spider-Woman #3/Spider-Verse Team-Up #3 (can be read in either order, truthfully).

Reading the books in this order should prevent any wall stopping moments that could otherwise kill the dramatic effects of the story. And if you are following all the tie-ins to Spider-Verse, which we truly think you should, we recommend you head to your local comic shop soon, as once more these tie-ins seem to have surprised a fair number of retailers, selling out at Diamond before the books were even released!
