The time has finally come…LONG BEACH COMIC CON!! One of our absolute favorite shows for us here at SG2M. It is certainly my favorite, with its focus less on pop culture as a whole and more on comics, it is always the highlight of my convention season.

So what is there to expect at this years show? Let me tell you:

Everyone already knows that the LBCC Artist Alley really is one of the greatest AA’s of the entire convention scene. This year’s already sold out over a month ago, so get ready to start digging through your collections to find gems to have signed. The list of all the Artist Alley participants can be found at longbeachcomicon.com

GeekFest Film Festival will be back again for an even larger festival this year with almost $5k in prizes. As we reported earlier in the year GeekFest was teaming with Long Beach Comic Con & Expo to be the exclusive stop in the LA area for this traveling geek themed film fest, and after the success of the first festival back in Feb/March at Long Beach Comic Expo GeekFest is more than happy to return for the fall convention.

There is never a shortage of comic creators at LBCC so just to give you a taste of who you can expect to run into how about: Len Wein, Marv Wolfman, Marc Silvestri, Art Adams, and Joe Benitez to name a small portion. Also, Adam Kubert will be making his first appearance at Long Beach Comic Con, so very excited for that

You can even find some celebrities at this years LBCC. From Peter Shinkoda and Tommy Walker (the Ninja Nobu, and one of Kingpin’s “assistants” Francis) from the smash hit on Netflix DAREDEVIL, to Mr. Woo (Deadwood) himself, and the voice of GI Joe‘s Flint, Keone Young. Even YouTube celebrities Hilly & Hanna Hindi of the Hillywood Show will be there.

Every year Cosplay seems to grow more and more. Long Beach Comic Con’s Cosplay Corner has grown leaps and bounds. This years Cosplayer’s include: Raychul Moore, Nicole Marie Jean, Italian Cosplayer Giada Robin, Vegas Powergirl, Vampy Bit Me, and actress Maitland Ward (Boy Meets World), along with several others.

This year looks to be great and I for one cannot wait to step foot into the Long Beach Convention Center. See you all there!!
