Tomorrow sees the release of The Walking Dead #115, the long awaited start of All Out War, the series’ newest storyline. This also marks the series’ 10th anniversary. Both events lead to a need to party, and stores across North America are making that happen with midnight release parties for The Walking Dead.

Aptly timed with the premiere of The Walking Dead season 4, this Sunday, it is sure to be a big week for Walking Dead fans. The AMC television show had its premiere party in Hollywood last week, and now the comic fans can let loose and celebrate a major new storyline at over hundreds of stores in the United States and Canada. Various stores will be having sales, signings, food, and other festivities fans can partake in, alongside a chance to pick up The Walking Dead #115 a little early. The Walking Dead #115 will feature 12 regular covers and 1 exclusive cover available only at the midnight release parties. The A cover is your traditional Walking Dead cover, by series artist Charlie Adlard, and cover L will be a blank cover for sketches. Those looking for something a little more unique might want covers B-K, which consist of 10 interlocking covers that depict some of The Walking Dead’s most momentous moments over the past 10 years. And if you’re going to be at New York Comic Con this weekend? We recommend you pick up the convention exclusive cover O. You can see all the covers below in our gallery, along with an early look at the first 3 pages of issue #115, or view the interlocking 10 covers all connected to make the grand image immediately beneath this paragraph.

So what is All Out War? If you’ve been reading The Walking Dead recently you know there are several organized communities: Rick’s Survivors, Jesus’ Hilltop, Ezekiel’s Kingdom, and Negan’s Saviors. For sometime the Saviors have been running a protection scheme, stealing from the other communities in a might makes right type of scenario. Rick refuses to accept this and has been trying to take Negan down for a while, only to constantly get away by the skin of teeth. But after Rick and Negan’s last confrontation, there is no holding back, it is All Out War! As the Survivors, the Kingdom, and the Hilltop prepare for war against the Saviors fans will find themselves on the edge of their seats, because there will be casualties! Best of all, the wait between issues for this 12-issue long story arc isn’t going to be as intense as normal, because The Walking Dead is switching to a bi-weekly release schedule for the entirety of All Out War. There are exceptions in October and December, due to holidays, but look forward to a lot of walkers this winter.

Now with hundreds of parties going on tomorrow, October 8th, you undoubtedly have options at a comic shop near you. You can look over the list on The Walking Dead’s website to find a party near you, or you can make your way to Sky High Comics in San Marcos, Ca to party with us. At Sky High we’ll have food, sales, zombies, and The Walking Dead TV series playing on the shops TV. Either way, we hope you make it out to celebrate 10 years of the best zombie comic out there!
